DIY Paint Gypsum Space Set

Ages 5+

Mix, mold, paint, and take home a galaxy. Little astronauts stir up the gypsum, press it into rocket, planet, UFO, and astronaut molds, wait for it to set, then paint their creations in six colours — and the included magnet means the finished art goes straight onto the fridge.

Why we picked it: It's a complete craft project with a beginning, middle, and end — mixing, molding, and painting are three different skills in one sitting, and the wait-for-it-to-set stage sneaks in a lesson in patience. The fridge magnet finish is the kind of detail that makes kids enormously proud.

What's inside:

• Gypsum powder and space molds — rockets, planets, UFOs, astronauts, and more
• 6 vibrant paint colours with brushes
• Mixing bowl, scraper, and step-by-step guide
• Magnet and double-sided tape to display finished pieces

What it builds: Creativity, colour sense, fine motor skills, patience through the set-and-wait process, and the confidence of making something real.
